The Roman Bath House at Beauport Park

Model of the Bath-House in the museum
The Bath-House, between Battle and Hastings, was fully excavated in the early 1970’s, it being necessary to go down about 2 metres to find the Roman ground level..
The site is now scheduled as an Ancient Monument and worthy of public display but numerous difficulties have been encountered in attempting to actually bring this about.
The Beauport Park Archaeological Trust was formed in 1996, and registered as a charity, with the object of finding a way of exhibiting the site to the public, and conducting further research.
