THE DELIGHTS OF THE DODO
An exhibition featuring some of Ralfe Whistler's fascinating collection.

The dodo is perhaps the most famous example of the devastating effect mankind can have on a delicate eco-system. With its pathetic wings and funny hooked nose of a beak, the turkey sized bird was completely wiped out within 40 years of its first meeting with man.

For dodologist, Ralfe Whistler, the fascination has all but taken over his home.

Band Leader Frank Chacksfield. He was born in Battle in May 1914, and began leading bands in his spare time whilst working as a solicitor's clerk. His HITS included "Little Red Monkey", "Limelight" and "Ebb Tide".
